WASHINGTON — Not wasting any time, Hillary Clinton’s campaign Monday launched a new web ad with prominent Republicans blasting Donald Trump for statements about federal Judge Gonzalo Curiel’s Mexican heritage.

“Trump’s latest statements are so extreme … even other Republicans are offended,” the ad proclaims.

Trump over the weekend doubled down that Indiana-born Curiel is biased in the Trump University fraud lawsuit because of the judge’s Mexican ancestry, and added Muslims to the list of judges who might also be biased against him.

The video plays clips of Republicans rebuking Trump — strategist Ana Navarro, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Tennessee Sen. Bob Corker, House Speaker Paul Ryan and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.

Gingrich — a possible Trump running mate — says the attack on the judge’s Mexican background is “one of the worst mistakes Trump has made” and was “inexcusable.”

On “Fox & Friends” Monday, Trump said he was taken aback by Gingrich’s comments.

“I was surprised at Newt. I thought it was inappropriate what he said.”

Corker, another VP possibility, declared: “I don’t condone the comments.”

Separately on Monday, Ohio Gov. John Kasich said Trump owes Curiel an apology.

“Attacking judges based on their race &/or religion is another tactic that divides our country. More importantly, it is flat out wrong,” the former presidential hopeful tweeted.

And Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.), who has refused to endorse Trump, said instead of toning down his rhetoric, the candidate has taken it to “a whole new level.”
