PENNSBURG, Pa. — Ex-GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley took aim at Democrat Bob Casey in Pennsylvania Wednesday, mocking the three-term senator’s record on fracking.

“Bob Casey voted against expanding fracking six times,” Haley said at a rally for Casey’s Republican opponent, Dave McCormick. 

“I think he forgot which state he lives in,” the former South Carolina governor and United Nations ambassador quipped, drawing laughs. “Who does that?”

Casey repeatedly co-sponsored the Fracturing Responsibility and Awareness of Chemicals Act, which would give the Environmental Protection Agency much more power over the fracking process.

Most industry groups oppose the FRAC Act, arguing such heavy-handed regulations would kill jobs and raise energy prices.

Otherwise, Casey’s record on fracking is complicated. He was one of just seven Senate Democrats to vote against an outright ban in 2021 and has tried to distance himself from President Biden’s energy policies in campaign ads.

McCormick’s campaign argues his support for Kamala Harris — who notoriously supported a federal ban in 2019 — and unwillingness to expand fracking is akin to banning the practice in all but name.

Haley’s stump speech for McCormick followed several Pennsylvania GOP officials, including attorney general candidate Dave Sunday, who’s running against Democrat Eugene DePasquale for the commonwealth’s highest law enforcement position.

Sunday blasted Biden’s controversial comment calling supporters of Donald Trump “garbage.”

“I don’t think that we should be calling anyone’s supporters ‘garbage,’ period,” Sunday told The Post.

He added he’s not concerned about the potential impact of comedian Tony Hinchcliffe’s Puerto Rico joke at Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally, which prompted Biden’s remarks.

“There’s no one out there that doesn’t know what former President Trump’s policies are, why he’s running for president,” Sunday said.
