New York Attorney General Letitia James has issued subpoenas to Ivanka Trump and Donald Trump Jr. as part of her investigation into the Trump Organization, new court papers show.
Former President Donald Trump’s two children have now been added to a lawsuit that James initially brought against the company and son Eric Trump in August 2020 claiming that Eric was stonewalling her investigation — which has been ongoing since 2019.
James issued subpoenas to Ivanka and Don Jr. — as well as to their dad — seeking “testimony and documents ‘in connection with an investigation into the valuation of properties owned or controlled by Donald J. Trump or the Trump Organization, or any matter which the Attorney General deems pertinent thereto,'” according to papers filed Monday in the case.
But “a dispute has arisen between the [Office of the Attorney General] and the individual Trump parties regarding the subpoenas,” the court papers say.
Eric Trump — executive vice president of the Trump Organization — was previously ordered by a judge to testify and was questioned via video by AG prosecutors the following month.

The AG claims her office was forced to bring its case after it issued seven subpoenas that the Trump Organization and Eric refused to cooperate with.
Later Monday, Ivanka, Donald Trump Jr. and their father filed a motion to quash the interviews sought by the AGs office.
“These delay tactics will not stop us from following the facts or the law, which is why we will be asking the court to compel Donald Trump, Donald Trump Jr., and Ivanka Trump to testify with our office under oath. Our investigation will continue undeterred,” James said in a statement.
Last month, Trump sued to block James’ probe, claiming she was on a politically motivated “witch hunt” targeting his family’s real estate company.
“As her investigation into financial dealing of the Trump Organization continues, Attorney General James is seeking interviews under oath of Donald Trump, Donald Trump Jr., and Ivanka Trump,” an AG spokesperson said in a statement. “Despite numerous attempts to delay our investigation by the Trump Organization, we are confident that our questions will be answered and the truth will be uncovered because no one is above the law.”
