NYPD officers will be stopping and inspecting buses that travel down Fifth Avenue when President Trump stays at his Manhattan home for the first time since taking office.

Trump is expected to arrive in the city on Monday, and Chief of Department Carlos Gomez said they’ll begin checking buses at 7 p.m.

“We will be boarding the buses and inspecting them before they proceed down Fifth avenue,” Gomez said.

Other vehicles will also be checked at random, he explained, adding that motorists should avoid the area around Trump Tower entirely.

Trump is planning to stay in the Big Apple until Wednesday evening and will likely spend most of his time in Trump Tower.
