An enraged Attorney General Pam Bondi blasted “progressive left idiots” for fueling hatred towards National Guard troops — as she vowed to probe whether they encouraged the Thanksgiving eve shooting ambush.

Bondi tore into the scores of liberal lawmakers and media commentators who have criticized President Trump’s decision to deploy federal troops to Washington, DC, suggesting the “disgusting” and “despicable” rhetoric is to blame for any ensuing violence.

“It’s actually sad what our country has come to with these progressive left idiots who are doing this and saying this about our heroes who are keeping them safe,” Bondi told Fox News’ “Fox & Friends.”

Suspect Rahmanullah Lakanwal, 29, whom the CIA confirmed worked with one of its elite counterterrorism units in Afghanistan, is facing at least three counts of assault with intent to kill and criminal possession of a weapon. Two National Guard members, Sarah Beckstrom, 20, and Andrew Wolfe, 24, were shot in the ambush and remained hospitalized.

Bondi vowed to “do everything in our power to seek the death penalty against that monster who should not have been in our country.”

The top prosecutor added that liberals who have led the outrage against Trump’s push to protect the nation’s capital — including lawmakers — have security details to protect themselves.

“What these lawmakers are doing, what some of these news anchors on other networks are doing, what their guests are saying is disgusting, it’s despicable,” she said.

“They should be praising our men and women in law enforcement. We’re looking at everything they have said and why they said it and if they encouraged acts of violence.”

Lefty politicians for months have loudly condemned the deployment of National Guard troops in crime-ridden Democrat-run cities as “authoritarian” and an “invasion.”

U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro on Thursday blasted a reporter who brought up Democrats who argued that the National Guard should have never been in DC because the district’s crime levels didn’t warrant emergency action.

“I don’t even want to talk about whether they should have been there,” Pirro snapped back. “We ought to kiss the ground and thank God that the president said it’s time to bring in more law enforcement” to quell the violence in the city.

Trump said Wednesday he’d bring in 500 more troops to the district.

Veteran Rep. Brian Mast (R-Fla.) blamed Democrats for the attacks on the National Guard members — but cited their policies in the chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan.

“Let’s be clear about this: reckless, lazy, and outright dishonest policy decisions of Joe Biden, Jake Sullivan, Antony Blinken, Jen Psaki led to the shooting of two National Guard members,” Mast said on X. “They conspired and lied to the American people day-to-day about all things regarding the withdrawal from Afghanistan, including the vetting of individuals leaving Afghanistan.”
