British talk show host Piers Morgan had a heated exchange with The New York Times on Twitter Saturday, blasting the paper as “fake news” for calling him a “conservative” media personality.
“Erm, @nytimes – fascinating feature on Trump’s Twitter feed – but I’m not part of the ‘Conservative news media’.. #FakeNews,” he tweeted.
Morgan was cited in a lengthy Times weekend piece as a member of conservative media President Trump frequently retweeted, alongside people like Matt Drudge, Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson.
Morgan has been chummy with President Trump since he won “Celebrity Apprentice” back in 2008. He is one of just 47 people the billionaire follows on Twitter.
