A proposal to ban Muslims from entering the United States appears to have been removed from Donald Trump’s website.

The statement, which first appeared last December, called for a “total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country’s representatives can figure out what is going on.”

As of Wednesday evening, it was gone.

The president-elect waffled on the statement during the course of his campaign — first calling for a complete shutdown, then banning Muslim immigration from countries tied to terrorism.
