Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday denied the Kremlin had any connection to President Trump’s firing of FBI Director James Comey.
“We have nothing to do with that,” Putin told CBS News.
“President Trump is acting in accordance with his competence, his law, and Constitution,” said Putin, wearing a hockey uniform.
Trump abruptly fired Comey on Tuesday, citing his mishandling of the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server.
The Russian leader said he was on his way to play hockey with fans.
