Russian President Vladimir Putin made a private call to President Trump to thank him for providing information that helped prevent “terrorist acts” on Russian soil, Moscow said Sunday.
“A set of mutual interests” were discussed between the two leaders, according to a Kremlin memo, which does not give the date of the call.
The nature of the thwarted attacks are also unclear. According to the Kremlin report, the information was transmitted through “special services.”
Both of the countries agreed to “continue bilateral cooperation in the fight against terrorism” on the call, the memo read.
The White House has yet to comment on the call.
