Rand Paul may have a podium during Wednesday’s third GOP debate, but the Republican National Committee is making it clear he’s no Donald Trump.
The greenrooms of top-polling candidates– like Trump and Ben Carson– were outfitted with flatscreen TVs and leather reclining chairs, while staff of those behind in the polls were forced to slum it in cramped quarters.

Photos quickly surfaced comparing the lavish quarters of Carly Fiorina, whose digs came complete with a Jacuzzi, to the depressingly small space assigned to Paul, whose greenroom was so cramped the folding table nearly blocks the door to the bathroom.
The contrasting rooms became a point of contention Tuesday, when the campaigns were given a pre-debate tour of the Coors Events Center at the University of Colorado.

“This is ridiculous. We’re in a restroom,” Chris Christie’s campaign manager Ken McKay told the RNC during a tense meeting, Politico reports.
Paul’s adviser Chris LaCivita demanded the RNC make changes.
“Was there any advance done on the campaign work spaces? Because it sure as hell doesn’t seem like it ” LaCivita said.
The disgruntled campaign staffers were eventually moved to new quarters.
Thanks to everyone at @GOP for bending over backwards to acquire great working conditions for team Paul. pic.twitter.com/bISE6WVerk
