Far-right Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene raged to The Post on Tuesday that New York City Mayor Eric Adams “put a target on my back” when he publicly warned her about coming here to support ex-President Donald Trump.
“That was horrible behavior for a mayor,” Greene (R-Ga.), 48, said from her SUV after a truncated speech at a pro-Trump rally, where she was drowned out by counter-protesters, outside Manhattan court.
“The mayor of New York should be ashamed of himself calling me out by name.”
At a Trump-related security press conference Monday, Adams said, “Although we have no specific threats, people like Marjorie Taylor Greene, who is known to spread misinformation and hate speech, as she stated she’s coming to town, while you’re in town, be on your best behavior.”
Greene claimed Tuesday of Adams’ comment, “It was a warning, and it was really a threat.

“He’s never met me before, he only believes the lies he’s seen on the news about me, which is terrible,” she said, demanding an apology.

City Hall spokesman Fabien Levy shot back to The Post, “Mayor Adams yesterday said Marjorie Taylor Greene ‘is known to spread misinformation and hate speech.’
”We appreciate that she so quickly proved him right. But, to be serious, we apologize … to New Yorkers for allowing this insurrectionist to enter our city.”
As for Trump, Greene on Tuesday compared him to Jesus and Nelson Mandela, several hours before the ex-prez became the first president in history to be arraigned on criminal charges — 34 felony raps related to alleged business fraud.

Jesus was arrested and murdered by the Roman government,” Greene told Right Side Broadcasting in an interview, according to CNBC.
Greene told The Post that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who sought the indictment against Trump, “destroyed” democracy by his actions.
She had previously called for protests outside Manhattan court — demonstrations which she only attended for about 10 minutes Tuesday after getting drowned out.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene told The Post that Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg’s indictment of former President Trump “destroyed” democracy. Stephen YangGreene told The Post she hoped the protests didn’t turn violent and said she has “a lot of faith in the NYPD.
“We have to show up and stand up and protest this political persecution and weaponization of our government that we’re witnessing today,” the pol said. “In my opinion, the Democrats and many people in the media warned us for six years that President Trump would destroy democracy, but today democracy has been destroyed by what Alvin Bragg is doing.”
Greene, who called Trump “the most vetted person in American history,” said she spoke with the former president Monday after he got on his private plane to fly to New York for his arrest and arraignment.
“He was so excited by all the people he saw along the road that came out to support him,” she said. “He’s very convicted in fighting this, and he’s ready for the fight. He is overly outraged and shocked that this would really happen in this country, as most people are.”
Trump is “deeply saddened and worried about our country,” Greene added.
“He didn’t sound afraid for himself, he’s afraid for our country,” she claimed. “He knows what all of us know, once this line is crossed, it’s like opening Pandora’s box, there’s no turning back.
“It’s what’s happened in every single Communist country where we see the weaponization of the government,” Greene said.
The lawmaker, who has repeatedly courted controversy since her election to the House of Representatives in 2020, said she believes Trump will prevail in his legal fight and become president again in 2024.
“Alvin Bragg is telling every single voter in America the Democrats are corrupt and the Democrats will break the law in order to stop the other side,” she said. “It’s hard to vote for that.”
Bragg indicted Trump last week for alleged improper business conduct relating to a 2016 hush-money payment to porn star Stormy Daniels ahead of that year’s presidential election. Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen was given a three-year prison sentence for his role in giving $130,000 to Daniels, who was ready to go public with her claims of an affair with Trump.
Trump has denied he had a liaison with Daniels and any criminal wrongdoing.
