Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was furious Wednesday at being left out of the fast-moving public negotiations between former President Donald Trump and President Biden over their upcoming debates.

The independent presidential candidate complained soon after Biden, 81, and Trump, 77, agreed to square off without him in debates hosted by CNN on June 27 and ABC News on Sept. 10.

“Presidents Trump and Biden are colluding to lock America into a head-to-head match-up that 70% say they do not want,” Kennedy moaned on X.

“They are trying to exclude me from their debate because they are afraid I would win,” he claimed — optimistically, given recent polling.

“Keeping viable candidates off the debate stage undermines democracy,” added Kennedy, 70. “Forty-three percent of Americans identify as independents.”

Biden-Harris campaign chair Jen O’Malley Dillon penned a letter to the Commission on Presidential Debates insisting that RFK Jr. be kept off stage, warning “squandering debate time on candidates with no prospect of becoming president” must be avoided.

However, CNN revealed in its debate announcement that any candidate who can “receive at least 15% in four separate national polls of registered or likely voters that meet CNN’s standards for reporting” is welcome to join.

Kennedy is averaging 10.8% in the latest RealClearPolitics aggregate of polling, peaking at 16% in polls taken by CNN and Quinnipiac University last month.

“If Americans are ever going to escape the hammerlock of the two-party system, now is the time to do it. These are the two most unpopular candidates in living memory,” Kennedy added Wednesday.

“By excluding me from the stage, Presidents Biden and Trump seek to avoid discussion of their eight years of mutual failure including deficits, wars, lockdowns, chronic disease, and inflation.”

What to know about the planned debates between President Biden and former President Trump:

• President Biden and former President Donald Trump have tentatively agreed to two presidential debates ahead of the Nov. 5. election.
• Biden released a video telling Trump to “make my day, pal” and debate him. The president noted that Trump has previously asked to debate “anytime, anyplace and anywhere.” 
• Trump accepted Biden’s challenge and wrote on Truth Social that he would be open to having even more debates with large, live crowds.
• The first debate will be hosted by CNN at the company’s Atlanta headquarters at 9 p.m. ET Thursday, June 27. There will not be a live audience, and moderators will be announced later.
• The second debate will be hosted by ABC News on Tuesday, Sept. 10.
• The Commission on Presidential Debates — which has organized debates since the 1988 election — will not be involved in either debate.
• Independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was not invited to join the debates. Kennedy accused the other candidates of “colluding” to keep him out of the events.

Kennedy’s vice presidential pick, Nicole Shanahan, quickly backed up her running mate.

“When @RobertKennedyJr debates these two troubled Presidents, he will win bigly,” she posted on X.

Biden’s team requested that a debate be limited to just the candidates and moderators, eschewing the traditional live audience. Additionally, the Democrat’s campaign insisted that the microphones only be live when candidates are speaking to preclude Trump from interrupting.

Trump, who skipped all 2024 GOP primary rumbles, has long needled Biden over the debates, accusing the president of being too scared to face him.

The CNN debate will be moderated by “State of the Union” co-hosts Jake Tapper and Dana Bash from the network’s home city of Atlanta beginning at 9 p.m. ET June 27.
