A Wisconsin business owner shared how President Trump’s leadership leveled the playing field for manufacturers and put American workers first during a speech Tuesday at the 2020 Republican National Convention.
John Peterson, the owner of Schuette Metals, a second-generation metal fabrication business in Rothschild, Wis., praised Trump’s business acumen.
“He knew what it was like to build a company and to create jobs for American workers,” Peterson said.
“President Trump ensured a more competitive playing field for American companies like ours,” Peterson continued, “because he knows when the game isn’t rigged against us — nobody can beat the American worker and the American entrepreneur.”
“Even with all the challenges presented by the coronavirus, President Trump is rebuilding, and our economy is roaring back again.”
Peterson bashed Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden as “a washed-up career politician who will be nothing but a puppet of the radical left that has hijacked the Democrat party.”
He compared Trump to college football team the Wisconsin Badgers, saying they share three common traits.
“They are smart, tough and dependable. And as a businessman, I can tell you those are qualities we need in our country’s leader and that is why we need to re-elect President Donald J. Trump.”
