Comedy Central is putting Justin Bieber on the spit.
“The Comedy Central Roast of Justin Bieber” will tape in LA, reportedly in March, with the airdate to be announced.
While no roasters have been set, past “Roast” comedians have included Jeff Ross, Anthony Jeselnik and Amy Schumer.
“For years I have wanted Comedy Central to roast me,” Bieber tweeted Tuesday. “They said only if I provided them w/more material so for a year now I have worked hard.”
“We’re thrilled he listened,” said Kent Alterman, president of content development and original programming for Comedy Central.
Bieber, 20, has shown he can take a joke. After “Saturday Night Live” mocked his Calvin Klein underwear ads in last weekend’s show — with cast member Kate McKinnon playing the pop star — he tweeted, “Well played. LOL.”
The “Baby” singer joins the likes of Roseanne Barr, Charlie Sheen and Donald Trump in being roasted by the network in recent years.
Comedy Central’s last roast with James Franco in 2013 averaged 3.1 million viewers.
