Rush Limbaugh, who recently revealed he has advanced lung cancer, will be in attendance at President Trump’s State of the Union address Tuesday night.

One of Trump’s lawyers, Jenna Ellis, confirmed Limbaugh’s planned presence in a tweet, calling the invitation from the president an “Amazing and excellent call.”

The president said earlier Tuesday at a private lunch with TV anchors that he offered a last-minute invite to Limbaugh, 69, to join the first lady in the House chamber, according to Politico, citing four sources.

Trump also announced at the lunch that he plans to award Limbaugh with the Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian award in the nation, the report said, as early as next week.

The commander in chief got the idea after learning Limbaugh has cancer, the report said.

The conservative radio host shared his diagnosis with listeners on Monday. News of Limbaugh’s condition left Trump “shaken up,” one person at Tuesday’s lunch told Politico.

The two had lunch together in Florida on Dec. 22 during Trump’s holiday break, but at the time, “Limbaugh didn’t say anything at the time about his health,” the person told the outlet.

On his show Monday, Limbaugh told listeners, “I wish I didn’t have to tell you this, and I thought about not trying to tell anybody, I thought about trying to do this without anybody knowing, because I don’t like making things about me.”

But “there are going to be days that I’m not going to be able to be here. Because I will be undergoing treatment,’’ he said, adding that he has the advanced cancer.
