Democratic frontrunner Bernie Sanders says he doesn’t believe Michael Bloomberg could survive a debate with President Trump — if the former New York City mayor’s performance this week is any guide.

“If that’s what happened in a Democratic debate, you know, I — I think it’s quite likely that Trump will chew him up and spit him out,” the Vermont senator said in an interview with “60 Minutes” set to air Sunday.

Bloomberg bombed his first debate appearance since joining the crowded Democratic primary field Wednesday night. The New York billionaire struggled to parry widely foreseen attacks over sex harassment at his media company and his long embrace of stop-and-frisk.

Before the disastrous forum, Bloomberg had gained traction in the polls despite his late entry into the race, largely thanks to a massive $350 million-plus advertising campaign.
