Forget about sending the First Lady flowers as she recovers from surgery.

She’s not allowed to have them because of “security reasons” as she mends after undergoing kidney surgery on Monday, her spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham confirmed on Tuesday.

President Trump thanked the medical team that operated on her and

during a speech honoring fallen police officers outside the Capitol.

“Melania is in the hospital doing really well. She’s watching us right now,” the president said. “And I want to thank the incredible doctors. Walter Reed Medical Center. They did a fantastic job. So thank you. She sends her love.”

Melania Trump, 48, is recovering at the hospital in Bethesda, Md., after having an “embolization procedure to treat a benign kidney issue” on Monday, her office said.

Earlier Tuesday, the president tweeted that she was “doing really well” and would be “leaving the hospital in 2 or 3 days.”

“Thank you for so much love and support!” he added to her well-wishers.

The president remained behind at the White House during his wife’s surgery to avoid creating a media scene, but visited her later in the day.

He published an update on his Twitter feed Monday afternoon.

“Heading over to Walter Reed Medical Center to see our great First Lady, Melania. Successful procedure, she is in good spirits,” he posted.
