Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will get a grilling from the Senate Foreign Relations Committee next week over President Trump’s unconventional summits with Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong-un, it was reported Tuesday.

Pompeo will appear before the committee in open session on July 25 to explain Trump’s one-on-one meetings with the ruthless strongmen.

Politico reported that Senate Foreign Relations Chair Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) personally lobbied the administration to arrange the hearing.
