Canadian songbird Shania Twain got a thumbs up Thursday from President Trump — even though a day after telling a British newspaper she would have voted for him, she retreated and apologized.

“All right, I’ll tell you what happened. Shania, who I think is terrific but she made a mistake by sort of saying I wish I didn’t, you know, go public with it, but we know how she feels,” Trump said.

Twain, after saying she would have voted for Trump, apologized for weighing in as a Canadian.
