A suspicious device was discovered in Trump Tower on Friday — and was later deemed to be safe, sources said.
Four bags containing cell phones and an unknown device were found lying by flowerpots near a Starbucks on the second floor of the atrium in the midtown Manhattan building at around 4:30 p.m., according to police sources.
Police were trying to determine whether the device was dangerous.
Police closed off 5th Avenue while they investigated — and later determined the package to be safe at around 6:45 p.m., the sources said.
The building is owned by President Trump and the Trump Organization.
