An ABC News correspondent was seen diving for safety in the middle of a standup on the North Lawn of the White House when dozens of gunshots rang out Saturday night.
Veteran reporter Selina Wang — known for her cool head and for regularly traveling with the president — was filming a report from the building’s “Pebble Beach” area for reporters on her iPhone before ducking for cover, her eyes bulging in panic.
The chaos erupted near the fenced perimeter around 17th Street Northwest and Pennsylvania Avenue as Secret Service took down a gunman who opened fire outside the facility’s gate.
