Secretary of State Rex Tillerson will head to Africa to mop up the mess created by President Trump’s “s–thole” remark.

Tillerson’s “extended visit” to Africa is expected to include stops in four to six countries, officials said Saturday.

Trump sent a letter to African leaders gathering Sunday at a summit in Ethiopia that said he “deeply respects” the people of Africa.

The letter says the US “profoundly respects” the partnerships and values shared by the US and African nations.
