A topless protester broke through a security line and chased after President Trump’s motorcade on the Champs d’Elysées in Paris on Sunday.
The topless woman had the words “Fake Peacemaker” written on her chest and shouted the slogan after she breached the security line and chased after the president’s motorcade.
Police grabbed the woman and arrested her soon after she ran onto the boulevard.
Trump is in Paris to attend a ceremony marking the 100-year anniversary of the end of World War I in Europe.
His motorcade was en route to the ceremony when the topless woman ran after it.
The feminist group FEMEN claimed responsibility for the action afterward.
“FEMEN believes that restoring world peace with those who are responsible for the ongoing wars is hypocritical,” the group wrote on its website after the woman was arrested. “How could they work for peace? Does Trump work for peace when he flouts international treaties? No !”
FEMEN describes itself on its website as an “international women’s movement of brave topless female activists painted with the slogans and crowned with flowers.”
