Stay up to date with live coverage of the Trump administration and national politics Friday as President Trump will meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky this weekend at Mar-a-Lago to discuss a peace plan and end Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

The two leaders are expected to meet Sunday. Zelensky wrote on X that a “meeting at the highest level” would take place “in the near future.”

“A lot can be decided before the New Year,” the Ukrainian president added in a hint at when the meeting would be scheduled.

The White House confirmed that the meeting would take place at Mar-a-Lago on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Trump claimed Friday that the US military destroyed a facility where ships that transport lethal drugs to the US are built. It was not immediately clear where the strike took place.
