WASHINGTON — The Trump administration plans to flood the streets of Washington, DC, with more than 100 FBI agents as a part of the president’s vow to make the nation’s capital “great again,” sources tell The Post.
President Trump, 79, is expected to announce the additional surge in federal law enforcement at a Monday morning press conference, one source told The Post, adding that 120 FBI agents will be reassigned to assist the Metropolitan Police Department.
Trump has threatened to re-federalize the District if widespread violence by gangs of teenagers doesn’t stop.

Details of the 10 a.m. announcement were kept under wraps, but reports indicated Trump could also order the deployment of National Guard troops.
DC’s National Guard is the only such unit in the nation under the direct control of the president.

In March, Trump established a task force to make DC “safe and beautiful,” including cleaning up graffiti, relocating the homeless and assisting in increasing law enforcement presence.

“Washington, D.C. will be LIBERATED today! Crime, Savagery, Filth, and Scum will DISAPPEAR. I will, MAKE OUR CAPITAL GREAT AGAIN! The days of ruthlessly killing, or hurting, innocent people, are OVER! I quickly fixed the Border (ZERO ILLEGALS in last 3 months!), D.C. is next!!!” he wrote on Truth Social.
