The Trump Administration is threatening to expand its ban on laptops to all US-bound flights from around the world for airlines that don’t take added security measures against concealed explosives, Politico reported on Wednesday.

The restrictions would also apply to luggage that’s checked in — not only the carry-on bags targeted by a more limited ban the US enacted for some airports in the Middle East in March.

The Department of Homeland Security was expected to announce the threat on Wednesday, the website reported.

The US has not announced when the new rules would go into effect.
