President Trump alleged Thursday that former President Barack Obama revealed “classified information” — a potential crime — when he said that aliens are “real” in a recent interview.

“He gave classified information, he’s not supposed to be doing that,” Trump told reporters on Air Force One.

“I don’t know if they’re real or not, but I can tell you he gave classified information,” Trump charged. “He made a big mistake. He took it out of classified information.”

Obama told podcaster Brian Tyler Cohen, who asked about aliens, that “they’re real, but I haven’t seen them.”

“They’re not being kept at Area 51,” Obama said. “There’s no underground facility — unless there’s this enormous conspiracy and they hid it from the president of the United States.”

An Obama spokeswoman did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Presidents have the power to declassify information and Trump said he could spare Obama by exercising that power — though it’s unclear how that would work retroactively.

“I may get him out of trouble by declassifying,” Trump said.

Trump became the first — and thus far only — former president to face criminal charges during his comeback campaign for the White House, including for allegedly mishandling classified documents.

The FBI raided Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence in 2022 to recover documents when he refused to return them in a dispute with the National Archives. He was indicted on 40 felony counts in 2023 and faced a de facto life sentence in prison.

The president has angrily recounted how federal agents allegedly searched his wife Melania’s lingerie drawers and alleges that the criminal investigations against him were politically motivated.

That classified documents case was dismissed in July 2024 by Judge Aileen Cannon, who ruled that special counsel Jack Smith’s appointment violated the Constitution.

Then-President Joe Biden also was investigated for mishandling classified documents from his eight years as vice president and decades in the Senate, which were found in his Delaware garage, home and post-VP office in Washington.

Unlike Trump, Biden faced no criminal charges, with special counsel Robert Hur writing in a report that jurors would see a “sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.”

In his first term, Trump downplayed the possibility of extraterrestrial life.

“I don’t want to really get into it too much. But personally, I tend to doubt it,” Trump told then-Fox News host Tucker Carlson in 2019. “I’m not a believer, but you know, I guess anything is possible.”

Trump, however, said Thursday there’s one kind of alien he knows too well to be real — the illegal immigrants who crossed over the southern border in droves during the Biden administration.

“We know the illegal aliens are real,” Fox News White House reporter Peter Doocy said aboard Air Force One.

“Yes, illegal, only illegals,” Trump quipped.
