It’s the most awkward interaction ever — Part II.
President Trump looked like he was getting an embrace from his least favorite aunt as he was hugged by French President Emmanuel Macron after their joint press conference at the end of the G-7 summit in France on Monday.
Trump, 73, appeared tense, as if he was holding his breath at one point, staring into the distance and barely mustering a pat on the back for Macron while the boyish-looking, 41-year-old French head of state moved in for a big ol’ bear hug.
The stiff moment came two years after the pair’s first meeting in Brussels — when they shared such an extended intense handshake that their knuckles turned white.
Last year, during Macron’s state visit to the White House, their interactions in front of the camera were less awkward — although Trump flicked what he called a “little piece of dandruff” off Macron’s suit during a press conference.
