President Trump announced Tuesday that next year’s G-7 summit will take place at Camp David, after the administration removed Trump’s golf resort in Miami from contention.

“I think it’s been more or less announced we’ll do it at Camp David,” the president said during a NATO meeting in London when asked if the White House had selected a location.

“It will be at Camp David, which is a place that people like,” Trump continued, adding that it has “good access” for the media.

The White House took Trump National Doral out of the running to host the summit in October and said it may have to be held at the presidential retreat in the Maryland mountains.

Acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney said the administration had chosen the golf property following an exhaustive search of hotels across the country.

But the White House backed off after criticism that the president would profit from the arrangement.

The summit will be held in June.
