WASHINGTON — President Trump on Thursday signed into law a bill authorizing the installation in Washington, D.C., of a statue honoring the women’s suffrage movement.

In an August tweet, the president pushed Congress to quickly pass the “Every Word We Utter Monument” bill that honors suffragists who secured women’s voting rights, saying it would inspire women to keep achieving their dreams.

“As we celebrate the 100th Anniversary of women’s voting rights, we should build a BEAUTIFUL STATUE in Washington, DC, to honor the many brave women who made this possible for our GREAT COUNTRY,” he wrote.

“It will INSPIRE all women to continue being bold and brave in achieving their DREAMS!” he added.

The bill to build the monument passed the House in February and was given the green light by the Senate earlier this month after it collected dust for 10 months.

The monument depicts famous suffragists including Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Susan B. Anthony and Harriot Stanton Blatch.

A similar statue honoring women’s rights leaders was unveiled in Central Park on Aug. 26.
