President Trump blasted Mike Bloomberg’s debate performance early Thursday, calling the former New York City mayor’s showing “perhaps the worst in the history of debates.”
Trump made his criticism on Twitter hours after Bloomberg was used for target practice by his competitors on the debate stage in Las Vegas, Nevada.
“Mini Mike Bloomberg’s debate performance tonight was perhaps the worst in the history of debates, and there have been some really bad ones,” Trump wrote in his tweet.
“He was stumbling, bumbling and grossly incompetent. If this doesn’t knock him out of the race, nothing will. Not so easy to do what I did!” he added.
Bloomberg was attacked from all sides at the Democratic debate for his record of alleged sexism, his extreme wealth and policies like stop-and-frisk that he oversaw during his 12 years as New York City mayor.
In perhaps the most blistering attack, Sen. Elizabeth Warren compared Bloomberg to Trump, saying she and the other Democrats were running against “a billionaire who calls women ‘fat broads’ and ‘horse-faced lesbians.'”
Warren added: “No, I’m not talking about Donald Trump, I’m talking about Mayor Bloomberg.”
