Mike Bloomberg and President Trump exchanged insults as voters in Super Tuesday states headed to the polls.

The president urged people in Oklahoma and Texas not to pull the lever for the former New York mayor because of his pro-environment policies, and Bloomberg knocked Trump for his handling of the coronavirus crisis.

“Texas & Oklahoma: Mini Mike Bloomberg will kill your drilling, fracking and pipelines. Petroleum based ‘anything’ is dead. Energy jobs gone. Don’t vote for Mini Mike!,” the president wrote on Twitter.

Trump, 73, also hit at Bloomberg, 78, for his poor debut debate performance last month when he came under attack from the other Democratic candidates over using stop-and-frisk practices while mayor and for spending millions of dollars on campaign ads.

“Mini Mike Bloomberg can never recover from his incompetent debate performances. Also, as mayor he was very bad under pressure – a choker!” Trump said.

Bloomberg, who is on the ballot for the first time in the 14 Super Tuesday states, hit back at Trump with a posting on Twitter.

“Donald, I was surprised when you put Pence in charge of the coronavirus response. Seems like an awfully obvious admission that you aren’t up to the job yourself,” Bloomberg said in the tweet, referring to the vice president. “Is it true that he’s basically running everything now?”

Bloomberg also had a message for voters on Super Tuesday.

“Today is our first step to making Donald Trump a one-term president,” he wrote in a posting. “I’m running to bring integrity and competency back to the White House. But I can’t do it alone. We need you to vote — and we need your friends to vote — and your friends’ friends to vote! #SuperTuesday.”
