Donald Trump boasted Saturday that he’s making a mint for CNN, sending ad rates for the next debate through the roof.
He tweeted that “because of ‘Trump’, advertising rates for debate on @CNN are going from $5000 to $200,000, a 4000% increase” for the Sept. 16 event at the Reagan Library in California.
TV industry sources said Trump’s boasts are not only accurate, but he might be selling himself short.
The August debate on Fox News Channel drew 24 million viewers, one of the biggest audiences in cable-TV history.
