President Trump said Wednesday that Joe Biden had made “an incredible comeback” on Super Tuesday — but then ripped the former veep’s “handlers” for being more “radical left” than Bernie Sanders.
“No questions on the election?” Trump asked as reporters were being herded out of a White House meeting he was having with airline CEOs and top administration officials on the spreading coronavirus.
“I think the election was great, a great comeback for Joe Biden, an incredible comeback if you think about it,” he said.
The commander-in-chief then offered his assessment of the Super Tuesday results, calling Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren “a spoiler” for not dropping out and saying that Sanders would have won states that Biden captured if she had.
“Bernie would have won states that he lost because of Warren. She was really a spoiler. In the case of Elizabeth Warren, if she would have done what she probably should have done, he would have won a lot of states, Massachusetts, probably Texas, and Minnesota,” Trump said before ripping into Biden and his camp after he was asked about the stock market, which was up Wednesday more than 600 points following the election results.
“I said from the beginning, it’s partially this,” he said, apparently referring to the coronavirus effects on the market, which tanked last week over the threat.

Joe’s become, you know, a lot of people are with Joe, if you look at those people, they’re worse than Bernie, in terms of being radical left,” the president continued from the Roosevelt Room.
“And some of Joe’s handlers, and that’s what they are, handlers, I want to be nice but they are, handlers, some of those handlers are further left than Bernie,” he added, without mentioning names.
Biden later clapped back, tweeting that “we have to get Trump out of the White House.”
“I have said it many times in this campaign. This nation will be able to overcome four years of Donald Trump. But if this man is re-elected, we won’t recognize this country in a few years. We have to get Trump out of the White House,” he wrote.
