President Trump crowed about scandal-plagued Montana GOP congressional candidate Greg Gianforte’s victory Sunday morning, a day after returning from his first jaunt abroad.

“Big win in Montana for Republicans!” Trump tweeted.

Gianforte narrowly secured the vacant House seat Thursday — despite being charged with assaulting a reporter the night before — in what many considered a referendum on Trump’s presidency.

The Tweeter in Chief returned from his trip to Europe and the Middle East Saturday evening, and also hailed the journey as a “great success” for the US.

“Just returned from Europe. Trip was a great success for America. Hard work but big results!” he wrote.
