The Trump administration on Tuesday imposed new sanctions on North Korean shipping firms and Chinese trading companies in the latest push to isolate the rogue regime of North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un over his nuclear-weapons program.

The Treasury Department also targeted a North Korean company involved in exporting workers overseas in a move that came a day after the US returned the regime to its list of state sponsors of terrorism.

“These designations include companies that have engaged in trade with North Korea cumulatively worth hundreds of millions of dollars,” Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said.
