President Donald Trump on Friday joked that his overly-golden hue was a result of energy-efficient light bulbs, saying he would have them removed from several rooms in the White House.

During a small business round table where he also complained about the state of plumbing in America, Trump relaunched his crusade against the bulb.

“They got rid of the light bulb that people got used to. The new bulb is many times more expensive and I hate to say it, it doesn’t make you look as good,” he said at the White House event.

“Of course, being a vain person that’s very important to me,” he joked to laughter from the White Office press corp. “It gives you an orange look. I don’t want an orange look. Has anyone noticed that?”

“So we have to change those bulbs in at least a couple of rooms where I am in the White House,” he continued.

The president previously blamed light bulbs for making him look bronzed during a Republican retreat in Baltimore in September last year.

The light bulb comments were made in regard to the Energy Department’s decision to phase out certain incandescent light bulbs, which are more energy intensive, but allegedly made look Trump look better.
