President Trump hit back at Jamie Dimon on Thursday, saying he lacked the “smarts” to be president — a day after the JP Morgan chief mocked Trump for not being a self-made man.

“The problem with banker Jamie Dimon running for President is that he doesn’t have the aptitude or ‘smarts’ & is a poor public speaker & nervous mess – otherwise he is wonderful,” Trump tweeted.

The commander-in-chief, known himself for his at times stream-of-consciousness speaking style, has been portrayed in recent books and an op-ed by a staffer as not being intellectually equipped to do his job.

And Dimon’s putdown Wednesday — which he quickly walked back — appeared to strike a nerve.

“I think I could beat Trump … because I’m as tough as he is, I’m smarter than he is. I can’t beat the liberal side of the Democratic Party,” Dimon said at an event promoting a $500 million JPMorgan investment in cities.

“And by the way, this wealthy New Yorker actually earned his money,” Dimon snarked. “It wasn’t a gift from Daddy.”

Trump has often referred to a $1 million loan he received from his father, Fred Trump, a real estate magnate, to start his own business. He later inherited his father’s business as well.

Dimon also said he had no plans to run for president.
