The South Korean government said Thursday it’s relayed a message from President Trump to North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un – who in turn gave Seoul a note to send to America’s commander-in-chief.

South Korean presidential spokesman Kim Eui-kyeom declined to elaborate on the communiques between Washington and Pyongyang.

Trump recently cancelled a scheduled trip to North Korea by Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, saying there’d been a lack of progress in denuclearizing the North.
