Treasury 'fully cooperating' with Jeffrey Epstein financial record requests, Oversight chairman says

By Josh Christenson

WASHINGTON — House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) announced Friday that the US Treasury Department was "fully cooperating" with his request for suspicious financial activity records related to deceased pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

“This stands in stark contrast to the Biden Administration, which attempted to delay providing us with information regarding the Bidens’ suspicious financial transactions," Comer said.

"We will follow Epstein’s money trail to ensure transparency and accountability for the survivors and the American people.”

Treasury Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary Jonathan Blum informed Comer in a letter that the department was ready to assist with the requests for Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) but would be involved in a lengthy process to make sure the disclosures abide by the Bank Secrecy Act.

"You used your platform to share a disgusting video - a video full of lies that tries to justify the actions of the deranged coward who murdered Charlie Kirk -  with your nearly 3 million followers," the Minnesota Republican went on.

"Charlie was a loving father and husband, and dedicated his life to the conservative movement and to create a healthy, non-violent space for civil debate."

Omar had reposted a TikTok video with several users dancing on the grave of the slain conservative activist and calling him a "reprehensible human being."

Marine ordered off recruiting duty over post celebrating Charlie Kirk assassination: 'Another racist man popped'

By Samuel Chamberlain

A Chicago-based Marine Corps recruiter was stood down Thursday after he appeared to post a meme celebrating the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

"Another racist man popped," read the post by Capt. Jacoby Williamson alongside images of Kirk, who was shot and killed Wednesday while speaking on the campus of Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.

Screenshots of Williamson's account were later posted on Reddit.

"The Marine Corps takes this type of allegation seriously,” Capt. Austin Gallegos, a spokesman for the Corps’ Western Recruiting Region, told Task & Purpose Thursday. “The Marine in question has been relieved of his recruiting duties, and the matter is currently under investigation.”

Navy Secretary John C. Phelan, who oversees the Marine Corps, posted on X Thursday night: "I am aware of posts displaying contempt toward a fellow American who was assassinated. I want to be very clear: any uniformed or civilian employee of the Department of the Navy who acts in a manner that brings discredit upon the Department, the @USNavy or the @USMC will be dealt with swiftly and decisively."

Trump hosting dinner for Qatari PM after Israeli strike

By Steven Nelson

President Trump is meeting Friday with Qatar's prime minister to reassure the emirate of his support after Israel conducted airstrikes targeting Hamas leaders inside the country Tuesday.

Trump will hold a dinner in honor of Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani at Trump Tower in midtown Manhattan, three sources told The Post.

The skyscraper boasts a gold-gilded penthouse overlooking Central Park, offering a potentially intimate touch to the meeting.

Al-Thani is scheduled to meet earlier Friday in Washington with Vice President JD Vance, two sources said — underscoring the intensity of Qatar's protestations about the strikes, which Trump said he would have tried to stop if he had enough advance warning.

On Thursday, the US took the rare step of voting to approve a United Nations Security Council statement condemning Israel for its barrage, which killed a handful of Hamas members but failed to take out the Palestinian terror group's senior leadership.

Trump says son Barron 'was very hurt' by Charlie Kirk's murder

By Steven Nelson

President Trump said his 19-year-old son Barron "was very hurt" by the murder of Charlie Kirk.

"He was very hurt when he saw this. But, I mean, every everybody was," Trump said on "Fox & Friends."

Trump said that his youngest child, who recently moved back to the White House to attend NYU's DC campus, had admired Kirk and even once asked for an introduction.

"Baron came to me and he said, 'Dad, I'd like to meet somebody that you know, Charlie Kirk.' ... I thought he was gonna say he wanted to meet like King Charles or something... and he came back said, 'That guy's great, Dad. That guy's great.' It was cute."

Trump added: "Charlie had a magic over the kids and large numbers of them, and very diverse, black, white. I mean, everybody, the young women and boys, and I've never seen anything like it."

Trump says he will attend Charlie Kirk's funeral

By Steven Nelson

President Trump confirmed Friday that he plans to attend Charlie Kirk's funeral.

Trump announced his plans when "Fox & Friends" hosts inquired about his plans for the coming week, which includes a state visit to London.

"I also go to a funeral for a great gentleman named Charlie Kirk, who should not be having a funeral right now," Trump said. "He should be out there in front of people. He loved doing it. He was so good at it."

Vice President JD Vance flew the murdered conservative activist's body from Utah to Arizona Thursday.

Trump predicts 'my little communist' Mamdani will win NYC mayoral election

By Steven Nelson

President Trump said that Democrat Zohran Mamdani is likely to win the mayoral election — after his allies unsuccessfully tried to consolidate anti-socialist voters around one candidate.

"I call him my little communist. He's my little communist mayor," Trump said. "But, you know, he has to come to Washington for money, a lot of money."

Trump said that former Gov. Andrew Cuomo, a Democrat running as an independent, was strongest against Mamdani in the four-way race also featuring incumbent Mayor Eric Adams and Republican Curtis Sliwa.

But the president said "it almost looks like even one candidate wouldn't work at this point."

Trump rips Curtis Sliwa's plan for cats at Gracie Mansion

By Steven Nelson

President Trump mocked Republican mayoral candidate Curtis Sliwa for proposing to bring rat-eating cats to Gracie Mansion.

"Curtis is not exactly prime time... he wants cats to be in Gracie Mansion," Trump exclaimed on "Fox & Friends. "We don't need to have thousands of cats."

Trump knocked the GOP candidate as he lags far behind in polls and resists pressure to drop out to clear the field for one candidate to take on socialist Zohran Mamdani, the Democratic nominee.

Trump threatens to 'come down very, very strong' on Putin

By Steven Nelson

President Trump said Friday that he was willing to "come down very, very strong" on Russian President Vladimir Putin if he won't make peace with Ukraine.

Trump said his patience is "sort of running out and running out fast, but it does take two to tango."

"It's amazing, when Putin wants to do it, Zelensky didn't. When Zelensky wanted to do it, Putin didn't. Now Zelensky wants to, and Putin is question mark, but we're going to have to come down very, very strong," Trump said on "Fox & Friends."

"It'd be hitting very hard on with sanctions to banks and having to do with oil and tariffs also. But I've already done it. I've done a lot. Look, India was their biggest customer. I put a 50% tariff on India because they're buying oil from Russia. That's not an easy thing to do. That's a big deal, and it causes a rift with India,"

Trump added: "Remember this is a Europe problem much more than our problem."

Trump floats RICO case against George Soros

By Steven Nelson

President Trump slammed Democratic megadonor George Soros and called for his prosecution on organized crime counts — citing a woman heckling him at a restaurant Tuesday.

"They have professional agitators. They're professional. I had one the other night. I went into a restaurant, and this woman stood up. I looked at her immediately. She had money. She wasn't she wasn't serious. They got paid for it. Their professional, from Soros and other people," Trump said on "Fox & Friends."

"And we're going to look into Soros because I think it's a RICO case against him and other people. Because this is more than like protests. This is real agitation. This is riots on the street."

Trump made his first visit as president to a DC restaurant unaffiliated with his business this week to highlight his monthlong crime crackdown in the capital — but the photo op was interrupted by protesters calling Trump "the Hitler of our time."

"The radicals on the left are the problem, and they're vicious and they're horrible and they're politically savvy," Trump added.

Trump announces next city for federal policing surge: 'great music city'

By Steven Nelson

President Trump announced Friday that Memphis would be the next city to get a federal policing surge — and the second following Washington, DC.

"We're going to Memphis. [It is] deeply troubled and the mayor is happy. The Democrat mayor, the mayor is happy. And the governor, Tennessee, the governor is happy," Trump said on "Fox & Friends."

"Deeply troubled — we're going to fix that, just like we did Washington. I would have preferred going to Chicago," Trump said.

Trump said the move was pitched to him by a railroad executive, serving on the board of FedEx, who said, "Sir, Memphis would be good because"

"He said, 'When I walk one block to my hotel. They won't allow me to do it. They put me in an armored vehicle with bulletproof glass to take me one block.' He said, 'It's so terrible.'"

Trump added: "So we're going to Memphis. I'm just announcing that now, and we'll straighten that out, National Guard and anybody else we need. And by the way, we'll bring in the military too if we need it. But National Guard — but Memphis is, look, it's a great music city. It's, you know, home of Elvis and everything else."
