President Trump said he spoke to Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman about the killing of Jamal Khashoggi and doesn’t like his explanation from the Saudis for why the journalist was killed.
“I’m not satisfied with what I’ve heard,” Trump told reporters at the White House on Monday as he left for a rally in Texas for GOP Sen. Ted Cruz.
Saudi officials on Saturday said Khashoggi was accidentally strangled after he got into a fistfight with Saudi security officials after arriving at the consulate in Turkey on Oct. 2.
Trump also said the US has intelligence officials in Turkey and they’re expected to return Monday or Tuesday.
“I’ll know a lot more tomorrow,” he said.
