President Trump has chosen New York Jets owner Woody Johnson to be the next ambassador to the UK.

The businessman and longtime pal of the president has been formally announced as a candidate for the position that Trump claimed he was going to appoint him to back in January.

Christopher Johnson, Woody’s brother and an owner, will become Chairman and CEO of the Jets.

Johnson was initially a supporter of Jeb Bush but jumped on the Trump Train shortly after.
