President Trump is reportedly looking to re-hire former White House staff secretary Rob Porter — who left in February amid a domestic abuse scandal.
Trump has been in constant contact with the disgraced former aide and has told advisers that he misses the work Porter had done in the West Wing — and wants him back, The New York Times reported on Monday.
Porter resigned after reports cited two of his ex-wives who claimed he had been physically and emotionally abusive.
His allegedly abusive past prevented him from getting a full security clearance during his time at the White House.
Trump also reportedly blames chief of staff John Kelly for Porter’s departure.
The White House did not comment to the Times about the story.
