President Trump said Friday that a time and place had been chosen for his summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un — but would not say where or when the historic sitdown would take place.

“We now have a date and we have a location. We’ll be announcing it soon,” Trump told reporters before flying to the NRA annual convention in Dallas.

Trump suggested Monday that he was looking for the meeting to be held at the demilitarized zone between the two Koreas.

Trump is expected to push for North Korea to give up its nuclear weapons, while the North wants punishing economic sanctions eased.

Trump’s national security adviser, John Bolton, discussed the summit with his South Korean counterpart, Chung Eui-yong, at the White House on Friday, officials said.
