President Trump slammed his intelligence chiefs Wednesday as “extremely passive and naive” on Iran, suggesting that they should “go back to school” — a day after they contradicted several of his foreign policy decisions.

“The Intelligence people seem to be extremely passive and naive when it comes to the dangers of Iran. They are wrong!” the president railed in a blistering series of tweets aimed at the top echelons of US intelligence services.

“When I became President Iran was making trouble all over the Middle East, and beyond. Since ending the terrible Iran Nuclear Deal, they are MUCH different, but a source of potential danger and conflict,” he continued.

“They are testing Rockets (last week) and more, and are coming very close to the edge. There economy is now crashing, which is the only thing holding them back. Be careful of Iran. Perhaps Intelligence should go back to school!”

On Tuesday, intelligence brass told the Senate intelligence committee that the nuclear threat from North Korea remained but that Iran was not taking steps toward making a nuclear bomb — differing with Trump’s views on those countries.

The president last year pulled out of an international nuclear deal with Iran that was put in place under his Democratic predecessor, President Barack Obama, and reimposed sanctions on Tehran.

Trump’s broadside was not the first time he has publicly attacked his own intelligence community. Most notably, he has disputed its finding that Russia intervened in the 2016 US election to help him win the presidency.
