President Trump slammed Democratic Congressman Joe Crowley as “slovenly” on Wednesday night while praising Crowley’s triumphant opponent Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

“A slovenly man named Joe Crowley got his ass kicked by a young woman who had a lot of energy,” Trump said during a rally in Fargo, North Dakota.

“She had a lot of energy. I guess he didn’t see it. They couldn’t find him.”

Trump was alluding to a debate that Crowley neglected to attend but sent a former city council member in his place instead.

Crowley’s opponent, 28-year-old Democratic socialist Ocasio-Cortez — who is just as anti-Trump as the congressman, if not more so — ousted him in the primary for New York’s 14th congressional district on Tuesday.

After the upset Tuesday night, Trump tweeted that Crowley was a “big Trump hater” who should have been “nicer” and “more respectful” to him.
