President Trump took credit for the 2018 Winter Olympics yet again on Tuesday — patting himself on the back during his meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

“Without us and without me in particular, I guess, you would have to say that [the Koreas] wouldn’t be discussing anything [and] the Olympics would have been a failure. Instead, it was a great success,” Trump said, claiming they avoided a “real problem.”

“As you know, North Korea participated in the Olympics and it was really quite an Olympics,” he added. “It was quite a success. That would not have happened.”

Trump’s comments came at the start of Abe’s Mar-a-Lago visit.

“I’ll tell you, we did a great job on the Olympics,” Trump said back in March.

“President Moon of South Korea said without Donald Trump the Olympics would have been a total failure,” he added at the time. “It’s a little hard to sell tickets when you think you are going to be nuked. But when North Korea called and said they wanted to be in the Olympics, everybody said let’s get tickets and go.”
