President Trump will announce next week his pick to fill the vacancy at the highest court in the land, he announced Wednesday.

“I will be making my Supreme Court pick on Thursday of next week. Thank you!” the president said.

Trump has reportedly narrowed his selection to three choices: Neil Gorsuch, a Denver-based federal appeals court judge; William Pryor Jr, who’s on the federal appeals court in Atlanta; and Thomas Hardiman, who is on the federal appeals court in Philadelphia.

The appointment is to fill the slot left open when Justice Antonin Scalia died last year. Senate Republicans pledged to keep the Supreme Court vacancy open for the new president.
