President Trump touted his upcoming lunch meeting with Republican senators on Wednesday while praising the GOP-backed health care plan, tweeting that “it will get even better at lunchtime.”

“The Republicans never discuss how good their health care bill is, & it will get even better at lunchtime,” he wrote on Twitter.

He also blasted Democrats who he said were obstructing the Senate’s effort to overhaul ObamaCare.

“The Dems scream death as OCare dies!,” he wrote.

Trump will meet with the 52 Republicans senators at a White House lunch to discuss the health care plan and other legislation like tax reform and infrastructure development.

“I will be having lunch at the White House today with Republican Senators concerning healthcare. They MUST keep their promise to America!,” he wrote on Twitter.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell on Tuesday called for a vote to repeal the Affordable Care Act next week after he couldn’t rally support for repeal and replace.

Trump said on Tuesday that he would rather just allow ObamaCare to “fail” on its own and let Democrats deal with the aftermath.

“We’re not going to own it. I’m not going to own it. I can tell you the Republicans are not going to own it. We’ll let ObamaCare fail and then the Democrats are going to come to us,” the president said.
