The historic summit between President Trump and North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un will take place in Singapore on June 12, Trump announced Thursday on Twitter.

“The highly anticipated meeting between Kim Jong Un and myself will take place in Singapore on June 12th. We will both try to make it a very special moment for World Peace!” he wrote.

Trump and his North Korean counterpart plan to discuss nuclear weapons, trade sanctions and other issues during the sitdown.

The president has said repeatedly that the meeting could either result in tremendous progress or simply collapse, depending on the concessions the North is willing to make to his demands.

In April, the commander-in-chief said he would “walk out” of the meeting if the results were not up to his expectations.
